Sling Seed

  Sling Seed is an American rock band from Kingston New York.  With a sound that has been described as alternative rock with a supernatural vibe, and compared to the likes of Zeppelin, Sabbath, and The Stone Temple Pilots, it's clear the band has an undeniably unique sound all its own.  The band started in 2008 when vocalist/drummer Eric Greene called long time friends, guitarist Scott Hummer, and bassist Don Crespino to get together in Eric's basement to jam.  "It was powerful', says Eric, 'the chemistry in that first jam was amazing, like magic."  The band then spent their Saturday's getting together to feed this creation, building on solid bass and drum rhythms and melodic vocals and guitar, ultimately leading to the culmination of Sling Seed songs, which then led them to record, mix, and master their debut EP at Millbrook Sound Studios in Millbrook New York.  "From beginning to end it was an incredible journey", states Eric.  ""Pauly" is a master sound man, engineer, producer, and the list goes on, not to mention a great guy and a joy to work with."  Eric was referring to Paul Orofino, owner of Millbrook Sound Studios, who's worked with some of the best bands in the industry, such as Blue Oyster Cult, Twisted Sister, Golden Earring, The Cars, and to many others to mention... 

  Sling Seed has gone from jamming simply for the fun and love of music, to having written, recorded, and released 2 EP's, as well as having the title track off their debut EP Sojourn Girl playing on Spotify, and a couple promotional videos on Youtube.  The band has recently written 4 new songs. And with Millbrook on their minds, they're eager to get back in the studio and get busy working with Paul on their next project.
